St. Anne's Convent Jhansi

"And He said to them, “Go into the entire world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."

The Lord blessed us to extend our mission and spreading His kingdom by allowing us to open a community in the Jhansi diocese. It is through the instrumentality of Rev. Father John Padayattil His plan was realized to take up this mission at Lalithpur in this diocese. With enough discussions, prayers and visiting the place by the previous and present Team the decision was taken. Accordingly four sisters were chosen to be the pioneers of this Mission. They are Sisters Regi, Catherine. K.O. Jyothi Kumari and Priya. These sisters along with the Provincial Superior and the Asst. Provincial set their journey on 8th July 2017 and reached their destination on 9th night. There was a grant welcome to the Sisters by the Parish Priest as they reached to the well arranged newly constructed convent building. On 11th July the convent was blessed by Rt. Rev. Bishop Peter Parapullil the Bishop of Jhansi and inaugurated by the Provincial Superior. Prior to the arrival of our sisters to Lalitpur all the arrangements were made in the house. The people were very cordial and every minute needs were taken care, with all their gestures they expressed that they were waiting for our service in their diocese. Let us pray that the blessings of God will be reflected through the services of our sisters there.
